Last month I had the great opportunity to attend my first
ThYck Troup event. Appropriately titled The
Abstract of ThYck, the 2nd Annual Performing Arts Exhibition took
place at the Grossinger City Autoplex.
The event aimed to highlight fashion, spoken word, and other
talents.
Local, Chicago clothing brands and boutiques including Green
Hide and Transformations were featured during the fashion portion of the event.
Chicago-based, full-figured model and my friend, Nikeya Young, rocked the
runway!
My co-Plus Fashion Week ambassadors, Jessica Sanchez-Milgros,
Brigetta Ducre’ and A. Jene’ Young all showcased their many talents and
represented all full-figured women beautifully!
Aside from the many performances, local vendors and artisans
were also included in the event.
